The Devil’s Boot

This summer, Le Magic Land Théâtre returns to Château d’Attre to present their play “The Devil’s Boot”.

This fifty-minute show is directly inspired by a local legend and staged in the open air in the style of a medieval farce.

It is the story of a miserly old man and his young servant who, unable to bear her master’s cruelty and penny-pinching any longer, decides to make a pact with the devil to be rid of him. But she has not reckoned with the old man’s cunning — his quick wit and low blows prove more than a match for the master of darkness. For the first time in his interminable existence, the prince of the underworld is about to discover that some souls are very difficult to acquire …
